Rootstime Review HERE… This article wasn’t written in English, so here is the translation!
Claudia Norris is a 21-year-old Canadian singer and song writer from Edmonton, Alberta who had been very active since her 13th year of life in posting her own music and sings cover versions of popular songs on YouTube.
She composes her own songs on an acoustic guitar which she also uses to accompany her performances. Her songs belong in the poppy folk and country music genre and as an inspiration for her musical work she appeals to world stars like Adele, Taylor Swift, Kate Perry and Ed Sheeran.
The ep “Shine” she performs for the third time with a plate out. For the recording of four songs on this album they went into a professional recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee where producer Jason Wyatt took his place at the helm.
The first song “Tonight” is in our opinion the most catchy song on this CD. It is an uptempo brought discopopliedje that listeners should encourage dancing. The title track “Shine” is again more like categorizing a popballad, as the next “Marry You”.
To finish Claudia Norris brings a country rock song “Sunny Afternoon” that’s as sweet chamois sounds like the other three tracks on this EP. We assume that her compositional work is still at an initial early stage and that we will soon may face a full CD of this Canadian talent. Bring it on, Claudia!
