Hi!
Spring feels like it is starting to “sprung” (not really english, but I think you get what I’m saying) and I hope it’s warming up and the snow is melting where you are too! With the warmer weather, and the PILES of snow we got this winter starting to melt, we have quite a few puddles… and pot holes. That’s Edmonton for ya. I’ve never been a rain boot girl, and having bigger (stronger…? haha!) calfs, boots especially rain boots, have always been hard to find. But I love puddles and Spring SO much, and I’ve been lusting after Hunter Boots for a few years now. While on a shopping trip with Vray, I stumbled across these beauties in Town Shoes.
PURPLE RAIN BOOTS. Like come on, how cute are these?! I completely fell in love, and decided the $180 price tag was worth it. I mean these are a pair of boots I’ll have for life… or as long as I possibly can! When I bought my purple Uggs a few winters ago, everyone said they were a total waste of money because they wouldn’t go with anything. Well guess what. My purple Uggs are my most worn pair of Uggs I own, still going strong, and I get tons of compliments on them! So I knew these dusty lavender boots would be a great color to get. This tone of purple is a neutral to me, and I feel they’re definitely my style.
One my favorite parts about these boots is that they have an adjustable strap and extra paneling at the back so you can make them bigger or smaller! It’s a great feature, and ultimately one of the reasons I bought them. They’re also very comfortable. They have great support and I know I’ll be able to wear these for long periods of time during walks or outings. Just make sure to wear socks and long pants or leggings/tights if you’re wearing a dress, because you may get stuck and not be able to get the boot off. The sales girl told us a horror story of a customer CUTTING herself out of her boots because she was stuck due to not wearing socks. Expensive lesson learned.
I also got these really great Hunter socks that help transition your boots from spring to fall/winter. They’re already water/snow proof, and adding these socks makes them warm enough to act like snow boots. I mean, I think… I’ll have to test when fall/winter comes back. Plus they look SO freaking cute!! They come in a ton of colors, and I may get another pair of these just to wear around the house. The top “fold over” is knit with the logo, and the rest of the sock inside of the boot is a soft cotton material that completely covers your foot. I also may wear these socks with combat boots in the fall/winter because I’m so obsessed!
I can’t wait to go splash around in the puddles with these guys, or be a real life Pinterest picture and wear them with a cute spring dress. Do you have a pair of Hunter boots or rain boots that you love? What are they?! Leave me a comment or tweet me (@ClaudiaaNorris) and let me know!
Love & be fearless, (but not I-won’t-wear-socks-in-my-rubber-boots fearless 😉)
