Happy Tuesday!
Okay, so who doesn’t like a surprise blog post?! I haven’t done a post in a while that was just photos and text and well, I’ve missed it! I have gotten so many questions on what makeup comes with me when I travel, so I wanted to show you what I normally take with me! It can vary depending on the length of the trip and location; a short, tropical trip would be more minimalistic makeup, and a a long work trip (like Nashville!) more things may have to come with me. Of course my everyday products come no matter what, and I’ve specified which products those are in the list below!
PRODUCTS:
Everyday Must Haves:
– MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation (NW10)
– MAC ‘Bare Study’ Paint Pot. This is so great for layering under shadow or wearing alone!
– LORAC Behind the Scenes Eye Primer (my fave eyeshadow primer!)
– Benefit’s Gimme Brow in ‘Medium/Dark’
– Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ Mascara
– Benefit’s ‘Roller Lash’ Mascara (I like to layer these two mascaras together!)
– Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
– Urban Decay ‘Naked Skin’ Concealer in Fair Neutral (duh)
Eye/Face Products:
– Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette (My current fave palette to travel with!)
– MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadow in ‘Pure Flash’ (LE)
– MAC ‘Graphblack’ Technakohl Liner
– Urban Decay Naked Flushed ‘Native’ Palette
Lip Products:
– MAC ‘Creme Cup’ Lipstick (I don’t ever leave the house without this guy really…)
– MAC ‘Tats’ Lipstick (LE)
– MAC ‘Edge to Edge’ Lipliner
– MAC ‘Process Magenta’ Chromagraphic Pencil (Pro Store Product)
– LORAC ‘Mauve’ Matte Lip Color
– LORAC ‘Magenta’ Matte Lip Color
– NARS ‘Majella’ Satin Lip Pencil
– Kat Von D ‘Requiem’ Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
So those are the products I like to take with me while travelling! As you can probably tell, I like to do a more toned down, neutral eye with a bold lip. I find it easier to take a few different lip colors instead of more eye palettes because I it saves you space while giving you versatile options. I know it sounds silly, but if you’re on holiday and (for example) going out for nice dinners every night, you can “look different” in pictures by changing up your lip color. Wearing a bold red or pink lip with the same neutral eye look every night, will give you a different vibe every time! Maximize your space, and your options! Plus, who want’s to take 3 or 4 big eye palettes with them? They’re bigger, and can break easier… you get my point haha!
Also another good space saving tip is see what products you can find in travel/mini sizes! I like using mini mascaras and eye primer (if I can find them) because they don’t take up as much space.
Do you have any travel makeup tips? What are your must have products when you travel?! Leave me a comment down below! 🙂
Love,
Claudia ♥︎
